A very popular question for us this time of the year is, am I watering my tree enough. When it is 90 degrees outside and the sun is relentless, water is a very important thing. However, you don’t want to go all crazy with it! Trees would like to dry out a bit between watering, you don’t walk around with a mouth full of water all the time! Our recommendation to you is to incorporate deep watering into you schedule. Don’t water your new tree everyday, water your new tree twice a week with deep watering. Put a hose on a slow drizzle and water for 45 min. Your tree will develop a deeper root system and thrive while also saying thank you for not trying to drown it! As things get cooler water requirements will change so adapt accordingly!
